If you have a chance, put the stock pads back on.... and run them SE.

I can't comment on that. I've never heard gl2000. Those measurements are from headphones.com. According to Andrew it does sound as it measures. He called it percussion compression. Of course, again...individual hearing and preferences. And yet, the headphones sound nothing like your chart(s).
Go figure.
For me Zeos recommendations work in reversed way. I think he has bit peculiar taste. I don't watch a lot of his reviews so maybe he also enjoys "normal" headphones but he recommends alot of weird sounding stuff. I'm thinking stuff like Yamaha hph-mt5, Sendy Aiva, Sivga Phoenix, Goldplanar gl400, Harmonicdyne helios. After initial hype alot of stuff he has recommended is soon forgotten. Think about Sivga Phoenix, headphone he said is best in it's price range and best headphones of 2020. It did not take long for the hype to fade. Those turned out to be quite average headphones and now only four months later those are pretty much forgotten by everyone. I think buying headphones based on z-reviews is much like predicting weather with frogs. Maybe GL2000 is awesome, I hope it is. If I stumble on a used pair for good price I'll take it. But just because of Zeos's track record I'm willing to bet that later consensus will be that it's average at best and in 2022 not many people even remember it existed.ZEOS : claims the GL2000s sound better then any set of headphones he's ever heard

I bet there will be quite polarized reception on gl2000 as more people write their impressions. It seems like a headphone that combines traits from dark and bright tuning. So depending on the listener it can be best or worst of both worlds so to speak. Some will shrugh their shoulders, say "that was weird" and move a long.

so after playing with them for a while, these are not my preferred sound signature but I can still tell there's something special about them. I can hear an insane amount of detail with these
I'm starting to realize that these will be absolutely perfect for EQ'ing - they are like a blank canvas that can be EQ'd to your EXACT sound signature and they just EAT IT UP
For example, here's something I spent just a few minutes tweaking by ear (and will further refine over the next few hours) - but they now sound amazing to my ears

Sure, why not. But what exactly are you disagreeing on? Existence of 5khz peak? Recession on the 6khz-10khz region? Boost after 10khz? Or do you agree that those things are a real but you just disagree how it affects the sound? Is is ok if i totally disagree with Andrew, regarding the Chart stuff?
Looking at your EQ, you must have heard these as somewhat cold, dark, and splashy up top?so after playing with them for a while, these are not my preferred sound signature but I can still tell there's something special about them. I can hear an insane amount of detail with these
