Wayne has his site back at Pi Speakers. Again I'll suggest the studio one speakers. For $150 you get the drivers and crossover. Then for about the cost of one sheet of MDF you can build the cabinets. They have a sensitivity of around 95-95dB, high enough for small power amps.

And here's a variation on the cabinet that gives it a smaller footprint and increases the bass a little. The Pi One Tower.

For help with enclosure volumes etc if you are going to down the fully DIY path check out WIN-ISD. It's a great software package and free! It i will calculate all volumes and convert for band pass 4th/6th order as well.
