I realized that if you browse (high res) photos in thumbnail view, they all show up, but if you manually browse through the collection only low res photos (taken by my phone) show up.

However, pressing the middle button seems to start a slide show feature, and all the high res photos that were only viewable in thumbnail mode magically appears on the screen along with the rest of the photos in the folder.

I tried googling and searching the apple forums, but I don't seem to find such an issue described. Anyone here care to try this out?

I get the same problem with my 3rd gen Nano however there don't seem to be any pattern (that I can discover at least) to what photos won't show with regards to color depth or resolution. Some of them just won't show in full screen. They all showed on my iPod Photo.

Dang, and they still haven't fixed a 3rd gen bug? =(
