Gilmore Lite loop out question

Simple. Does the Loop Out only function when the amp is turned on (does it function when it's off)? I don't have many RCA cables on hand so.

The loop out should function whether the amp is on or off.

The loop out is for those with headphone and speaker set ups.  The source (CD player, DAC, etc.) would go into the headphone amp, and the loop out goes into the speaker amp.  That way, you don't have to add a manual switch to the signal path which might degrade the sound quality.

Wow, this is going to save me some interconnect swapping that I am currently doing!!  Glad I finally asked the dumb question!!
