Hey guys, thanks for all the suggestions. So anyways, here it is! (with added foam and felt with fabric on the underside for padding)

PS: Any suggestions to what I could cap the end off with? The inner pipe is
1 3/4" in diameter and the whole thing is 2 1/8" in diameter.

I guess I could try sawing a circle piece from the orig wood (got some more left...) Any tips for sawing a circle? Think a regular hacksaw would do?

probably but you'll have to do alot of sanding.

also try sticking a sock (brand new preferably) ober the part with the foam, it should make it look nicer

Well the foam isnt on the outside. The vinyl is. Under the vynal is bout 1/8"fabric (directly connected to the vinyl), and under that is another 1/8" of packing foam (the kind u wrap vases in.)

I love that green elbow. Home Depot usually carries caps for their PVC tubing, I'm sure you could snag one of those to finish off the end. You could also persue a metal one for the extra ghetto finish, however it might be heavy enough to make it tip over.
