Am running on Win 8.1 (curse Micro$soft), 64 bit edition.  Have disabled the digital signature checker.  When double clicking on Setup in the DAC directory, I get an "NSIS Error".  Ehow said it is failing the integrity check and may be corrupted.  I downloaded from another source and ran without integrity check (/ncrc option per Ehow).  I still get the error.

Any ideas?  My frustration meter is yellow bordering on red now.  And I've been dealing with Windows since Windows 3 back in 1986.

I downloaded the DAC driver from both the official download
http://121.199.40.94/UploadFiles/main/Firmware-and-driver/DAC-Driver-for-X3-X5.zip

as well as from the unofficial build
http://www.head-fi.org/t/729521/fiio-x3-x5-usb-drivers-for-windows-only

and was unable to reproduce the problem in either case.
