In honor of crossing my 400th post at HeadFi, I had a number of suggestions from a newbie point of view. If HeadFi could get these ideas implemented, the site would be more enjoyable for everyone.
1. Automatic I'm right/you're wrong buttons. These could also be incorporated into the automatic emails sent to users when they've subscribed to a thread.
2. Dynamically populate the reviews section with reviews the user is prone to agree with and hide reviews the user is unlikely to agree with.
3. Have automatic post reply macros for the following:
3a. K501s don't have any bass. (Please word as "any".)
3b. 7506 is too the same as V6.
3c. HD600 requires an amp and you're a weenie head.
3d. You can't spend enough on hardware to make your crappy music sound good.
4. Establish a royalty system for people who submit information to HeadFi. This way if a user decides to open another web site referencing the information, he'll know exactly how much to pay the original posters.
5. Thread collector. This could be used to, with the click of a button, for example, gather every single active Audio Technica thread into a single thread. This may require additional hardware purchases.
Thank you for your time and consideration in implenting these necessary changes. I hope to enjoy HeadFi for many posts to come.
