Will an amp increase the sound quality of a crappy DAP (psp) ?

No, an amp will just further amplify the poor quality of the input.

By input you mean the sound? I have flac albums and high bitrate mp4s so file quality isn't a problem.
What I meant was, will an amp improve the sound quality of a horrible DAP like PSP, will it add more bass, make it less squashed?
