I think the seller's deal is a pretty good one. Personally, I'd want more than 10k for the set. It has historical value and took someone a very long time to collect. Maybe the lack of boxes for most of them affected the value.

I think it's too much to consider at once. Gamer overload in a single transaction is no fun. Collecting over years is an adventure worthy of the pursuit. The collection should be purchased by a gamer mag for the cover spread alone.

I personally think it's a bit of a weak collection overall, though some of the more obscure systems would be pretty cool to have.

If he were willing to split it up, I'd take him up on the Neo-Geo system. He's priced that at a real bargain.
