Whoever wants to know what magic Supercurio has done with the Voodoo sound enhancement on this devices can see some results here

For me SoundQuality is by far the best ive heard from a portable device ...Thank you Supercurio for making me enjoy my Galaxy S. Out of the box SQ is really crap, Samsung messed it really up

Sadly, according to PhoneArena (link below), the Wolfson DAC has been replaced with a Yamaha-branded one. I'm not certain as to what model it is, though I'm hoping that the performance is at least as good as on the original Galaxy S' DAC. It wouldn't make sense for them to lower the quality of the Audio Output, after all, would it?

The Yamaha DAC seems to be getting mixed reviews. Supercurio's graphs show it performing a lot worse than the Wolfson, though. *SUPPOSEDLY* there will be Wolfson DACs in at least one regional variant of the SGSII (Samsung has decided to use different parts in different regions, such as substituting the Tegra 2 in some areas to compensate for a shortage of their own Exynos chip). Hopefully we'll see some Wolfsons in the new Galaxy line somewhere.

Sadly, that's no longer any of my concern. Short of having one of those S IIs with the Wolfson-Exynos combos imported to the Philippines, I'm pretty sure my country's gonna be getting the short end again. Guess I'll be sticking with my Galaxy S for a while longer

Then again, depending on how good the Sound Quality of the HTC Sensation is, I might end up picking that up instead. I know that HTC has a pretty bad reputation when it comes to sound quality, but I heard that they're planning to fix that with their newest flagship. What with the performance of the HTC Mozart, I'm looking forward to seeing how it does

Same here, i got a Galaxy S that wasnt charging from a friend and got the usb port replaced, phone is spotless, it was running android 2.1 so flashed to slimbean rom and semaphore kernel and working great, i've installed the voodoo sound app and the sound is noticable better than my galaxy nexus

questions re using voodoo

1) poweramp is my music player - should i switch off the 'direct volume control' under audio settings?
2) should i disable all dsp/music servies on the phone?

Cheers,
Mick
