This morrning I was in my elevator with a woman (in her fifties?). I had my Beyer 250-250's in my hand (but my ipod/amp was inside my backpack).

She looked at the cans, and said, "so year earmuffs have radios inside of them -- that's nice." I politely told her that they were headphones, but that yes, they do keep my ears warm as well.

Just wanted to share this trivial exchange.......

I posted this a while back, but I think its fitting for this thread. A conversation I had with my audiophile brother. He was demoing my MS2, and then new Millet.

After listening to my MS2 fo 30 minutes on my Millet:
Bro:
"Wow they really sound great. Balanced and not too bassy. I like how they project guitars."

Bro: (rubbing his head and ears, puzzled look on his face, examining the cans further)
"So these are Grados in reality... right?"

Me:
"Yeah, George and john are buddies... busines partners. George specializes in boutique guitar amps, and came to John to team up and release a headphone with the Alessandro name on it."

Bro: (rubbing his ears)
"God they Hurt.... Why do they make the foam hard and rough?"

Me:
"Its john Grado's design, Much of it carry over from his father Joe. They are what HE wants to put HIS name on and sell. What youre feeling there is part of the Grado hazing... LOL".

Bro (still rubbing his now visibly red, sore ears)
"Have you ever seen John or Joe Grado?

Me:
"Yeah just pics from the Gradolabs www site. He's a real family man from what I understand.... why"
