To be fair to the K601, I should probably give it a little bit of a review, too. It is a good headphone, and pretty neutral. I'll need to set it up and listen for a while.

Thanks for the comparison, Lucky. I've been using the D2000 for about 6 weeks now and I really like them as an all-purpose can. Of course, thanks to Head-Fi, I'm looking for another set to complement them and your review gave me a few things to think about. I was thinking of the 702s or hd600s!?! Hmmmm....is there a Beyer in my future?

I'm loving the 880, had it for a few years! I'd agree it is a fun can, not quite grado fun, but maybe more fun than the 650 and 701.

I just eq the the 8k and 16k down the tiniest bit to kill of the brightness, or I boost the bass a little. Either one seems to make the phones a bit less bright.
