The first 600 purchase of this drop will be shipped in Sep! wow nice. I wish the second batch in Jan could ship earlier. The 5 month wait is like one whole year.

No.

The first 600 will ship when the drop ends, the remaining units will ship in early September.

For those is the UK to call Customs Clearance Ltd (https://cclpay.com/). You'll need your tracking number. Will speed up delivery by like 2 weeks. Should cost like £65

Yep, I rang DHL who gave me I am assuming a number to customs clearance, I just gave them my email and they sent an invoice so I can directly pay online immediately. my charges were £67 and a little change. :)

Hopefully it will be up to snuff with the TH900 and D7000 i've used in the past.

The TH-X00 is the best headphone I've heard under $500 dollars.  It's damn close to the best headphone I've heard under $1000 dollars.

The TH-900 is a better headphone.  The resolution and detail is the biggest difference.  I noted deeper, tighter, more robust bass and extended upper frequencies as well on the TH-900, but the resolution is what immediately catches your attention-- there's simply more detail everywhere.  I A>B compared the 900 with my X00 at CanJam Los Angeles.  There is a justification for the TH-900s higher price.

I have not auditioned the TH-600 nor the D7000, so I can't comment.

I read a couple of hundred pages and it was like 95% shipping info/anger and 5% impressions

So please be crystal clear with me, my understanding is that these are fun to listen to (bass) but also some people say they aren't that controlled in the bass.
Is this compared to other $3-500 headphones, or compared to every headphone?

I mostly buy Hi-Fi and home theater gear so I don't have alot of portable stuff, but comparing to these that I own:

AKG K 601
Ultrasone HFI-780
Sennheiser HDR-180
Shure 530

Will the bass still be of better quality then all of those ?
The HFI 780`s sounded good at first but are also mumbled bass compared to the AKG 601, but they are very different sounding.

Um, I think the bass on these headphones is pretty good.  To my ears, it sounds pretty well controlled when properly amped.  I have swapped in some tubes that make it sound smeared and bloated in the lower frequencies.  While it's not super clear like the HD800, I'd say that it's also not veiled in any way.

I have a pair of TH-X00 from the first drop and a pair of TH-600 from before that. My thoughts are that the X00 has much more smooth treble with equal bass. I bought some teak wood cups from another Head-Fi user but the TH-X00 had everything I want straight out-of-the-box so I don't really even use the TH-600 at this point. I don't generally keep extra headphones sitting around but I will say that Fostex was the only brand to satisfy my desire for bass without sounding like a bloated mess. I bought and returned the HD650, HD700, HE-400, HE-400i, AQ NightHawk, Fidelio X2, K702, and probably a couple others. None of them could touch the bass of Fostex.
