Good to see others who have modded their th900s with hd800 connectors. I've done the same and am now conflict as to what headphone to get next to complament my 900s. Hd800/s or Elear.

Tough choice. I really want to hear the Utopia and Elear myself. It's to oearly into the product release and I want to see what the general impressions will be oncd everything settled down.

Canada is taking pre orders for utopia now, December delivery. Course it's more expensive than he 1000 at 3600 cad. Lcd4 at 5400 cad. It's 5000 cad for utopia. ( our currency took a licken) So do your currency conversions but it will be among the Kings of the wallet drain in this country. Let's compare to th900 is 1499 and hd800S is 2100. So let the games begin but I'm interested to hear some golden ear perceptions of utopia as well.

Indeed. Liked the term wallet drain. Personally I'm not such a huge fan of the price. I don't think flagship sound got 3 to 4 x better since the th900 and hd800 release. But hey value is determined by the user and if this thing is a miracle it would indeed be very compelling and temping.

I mean miracle in a comparative and hyperbolic sense.

I don't know about originally but I bought 3 years ago for 1500 cad $ it's hung in for the same. Granted the cad doll has depreciated by 20% over that time so it has gotten cheaper here.

That cable works great only With the lcd2 in my experience
It Was opeNing too Much the lcd3f too..
I got a pair of hd900 too!
I bought them to use with just the Hugo
But I feel they need valves
I borrowed a pathos Aurium from a friend
The problem is that I prefer the lcd3f with an open and dynamic fast ss.
So quite the opposite

lets not forget that my main amp is WA5-LE with Takatsuki 300B and Mullard rectifiers
 
 thats why i went with SW22, to maintain some fun ^^ while tube amp make me enjoy the sweet mids.

Shiny indeed.
I must admit I do prefer silk sleeve myself and had that done on my SW for the HD650.
It has an Oyaide ¼ and the most shiny HD650/TH-900 mk2 connectors you've ever seen (same type as the TH-900 mk2 connectors right?)
Was pretty expensive and has gold in the cable as well.

But why the screw didn't I get a case like that?

this is not MKII, moded TH900 with hd800 connecters
 
also the new SW22 cables get this case now. Frank keep adding more bonus over he time. ;P this was added in 2016. not sure when did you order XD

I know, when I was talking about the connectors I wasn't talking about your connectors i was talking about the Mk2 connetors which should be the same as the HD6xx connectors. Still with me? 

I don't have a Mk2 either, I have a Mk1 Lawton with a good old fashion fixed Jena/Lawton full copper Black Scorpion.

2 years ago I think. Still, I absolutely NEED that case for my mental sanity. Or what's left of it.
