I guess my question would be: how are you even able to walk in the first place given the size of your ⚽🥎?

Because I don't even walk from my kitchen to the lounge with my TH900 on in case a bead of sweat falls on them.

You, sir, are the TH900 Übermensch.

Just slightly getting away from the topic of helmets and balls, just received me Arctic Cable for the TH900. Wow, count me a new fan. Beautiful quality, feels very well built, but also quite nimble. The fact the plugs are now flush, yes - my OCD can finally rest. If this is their mid-level range, I would love to try the top tier. Packaging was also a nice surprise. Impressed!

Hi
I have these headphones for quite some time and I really enjoy them especially with edm.
For a few months I have used the eq of oratory1990 but I have returned a few days ago to use them without eq since although the mids improve I notice that they lose detail in the highs and also dynamic.
I use them on my ifi micro idsd signature and on my ibasso dx300 and sounds very well in both.
Do you use any of your own eq that works better than stock sound?
I also have the lawton pads but I don't like them, they make the headset very neutral and take away its magic. The bass is completely gone.
Greetings.

I have tried many different settings with parametric EQ and the only thing I can say is I achieved a “difference” rather than an improvement

My old TH900 pads had disintegrated over the years so I finally replaced them with new Mk2 pads. They sound so much better now. Cleaner highs, bass response is back to how I remember them. Back to enjoying TH900 again!

Don’t get me wrong. It works. It’s just that it doesn’t have clamping force.
- No mod at all: very weak clamping force.
- Elastic band: definitely more and doable, but not to my preference yet.

More clamping force = better seal and ears closer to driver = best sound (to me).

That’s why I’m asking.
I find the clamp on my TH909s (I assume they're similar in this regard to the TH900s) a little too light for my liking, and I've got a big head - although It's quite narrow and streamlined :) I find that with light clamp headphones it feels as if they'll fall off if I look down, which that makes me a little tense and gives me neck ache. Heavy headphones with good clamp don't bother me, but the clamp needs to be appropriate the the weight of the headphone, and in this case I find the clamp too light for the weight.

Can you imagine my problems as a person with a small head? All headphones are to big for me. This is how I fix it. Campfire cascade doesn’t even fit on my head without, just falls off, but with this system, perfect clamp. For the TH900 I’ve put the elastic in a headband cover and attaches on top so there’s no pressure from the elastic on my head. Works like a charm.

You should try Dekoni pads.

Time to give in-ears a try maybe. :)
