Do they really make a difference in terms of sound signature? Which one would you say is an overall upgrade over the stock cable? (not looking for one that changes the sound signature - as I like it already - but one that simply enhances it further)
All in all they do. How much of a difference ? 4 to 8 % difference. I prefer again stock cable or Lawton Audio cable.

Too bad for you , glad Im able to enjoy them.
Personally I found Dekoni Elite better than the stock ones. Better seal and better ear-touch if you know what I mean. Better seal means better sound, deeper bass and not fatiguing midrange.

Fostex TH900 is my favorite headphone. I really like the v-shaped sound as I listen to only EDM dance music. However, I've been interested in IEM for its portability. I was just curious if anyone can tell me about comparison of TH900 MKII with Sony IER-Z1R or Tia Fourte IEMs. I love the deep bass, large sound stage, clear mid, and harsh treble of TH900 headphones. I was wondering if I could get the similar or better experience with those IEMs.

Z1R iem is great side choice for a th900 fan.

Yes soundstage wide , best clean powerful deep bass.

In terms of only sound quality, could they be more enjoyable than TH900 for EDM dance music?

Which one do you enjoy more?
In my case after owning 21 ciems and maybe the same number of universal iems , I got tired of dealing with iem tips and inserting the iem correctly inorder to achieve the correct sound. With hps I slap it on and Im done.
