I have the im716 currently using the 68k resistor and a supermini 4. I was wondering how to adjust the jumper settings to make the bass slightly more impactful and to bring back some of the "fun sound".

First of all - people starting playing with adding resistors because they didn't intend to use an amp after removing the damn pod......simply removing the pod and utilizing the impedence jumper on your Xin very closely aproximated the "classic" Xin/er-4P to er-4S conversion. Personally, I am/was not a fan of iM716 with the pod........so not sure of what you mean about "bringing back some of the fun sound". It is certainly simple enough to experiment with jumpers with the Xin's cover off, until you find the combination of jumper settings most pleasurable to you. Maybe you like the sound of both crossfeed, and bassboost jumpers on - it's your ears, the music you like, and only you can judge what works best for you.
