All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning.

Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

Continuing down my new rabbit hole of matching my headphones/IEMs to specific genres and recordings instead of using EQ to normalize everything. I've discovered that despite an FR graph that shows a massive dip in the upper mids and treble, the Symphonium Meteor just needs more volume to level everything out. The bass roars on these and scales fine with the extra gain. It becomes visceral.

Symphonium Meteor < Singxer SA-1 < Mojo 2 < PC (Roon)

Reign in Blood (1986), Slayer

Continuing down my other recent rabbit hole ('80s metal), I discovered just how visceral this album can be with so much good, rich bass.

iPad Pro > Qobuz > Woo Audio W8 Eclipse > 64 Audio U12T (Mx Module)

Thunderstorms tonight, while the main rig is unplugged we’re going mobile. I was an aspiring high school freshman guitarist in 95 when Pulse was released. Hearing comfortably numb for the first time was almost a spiritual experience. This album will forever be in my hall of fame.

Letshuoer Cadenza4 + HIBY R8 II
Need a little bass boost on the IEM to sound good for doom metal, while stock tuning sound clean and good on CD 2 it's better with a lil extra.

Finnish doom metal group, this album is quite ambitious. CD1 is more doom metal and agressive, CD2 goes more into a more melodic relaxed style. Then last CD 3 is more in the funeral metal style, more dread and slower.

Listening to the Letshuoer S12 PRO on the Aune S17 Pro, trying to charge up my energy reserves, before leaving for a day at the Lego theme park, along thousands of other people and screaming kids 😁

One of my favourites album of recent years.

ifi micro iDSD Signature > Meze Advars

Adavars (much like any other Meze cans I have heard so far) are always painting their own picture out of music you play, and while you sacrifice a bits of neutrality and transparency I do love Meze tuning so much :) However the Meze tuning is a lot more subtle and IMHO does not requires additional EQ contrary to every Audeze headphones I have heard, and while MM-500 could benefit from additional EQ they are already not that transparent and neutral. IMHO if a manufacture design headphones in such a way they require EQ I think it is a bold statement that they failed in design and construction phases.

Very few tracks have so true and touching lyrics going together with music. "Too sweet" is one of them however don't just listen to that single track, the whole EP is brilliant in its own way.

A bit of cheating since still on Meze Advars but with another Signature settings:

ifi micro iDSD Signature (both Xbass and 3d+ enabled) > Meze Advars
