For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

Ha. For me the equivalent is hearing low riders cruising the street at night booming as much low end as possible. Practically born a basshead.
:) brilliant!

for me that kicks up memories of night time in a beach in my then city. They would do that in lanes there in middle of night.

On the CCA Trio

Seductive exploration of the raaga Bhairav . Not that I know the intricacies of raagas; aural pleasure that's all.

"The Alap is the opening section of a North Indian classical performance, and in dhrupad, it is a slow, improvised section that develops a raga. In dhrupad, the Alap is unmetered, unaccompanied, and starts at a slow tempo. The Alap is made up of phrases made up of syllables such as na, re, te, and di, accompanied only by the steady drone. The customary vocal range of Dhrupad is two to two and a half octaves, and the Alap begins around the middle octave tonic. The singer attempts to emphasize the purity and clarity of each note, with perfect pitch. The Alap can last up to an hour before the melody begins."

@Singaravelan your post inspired me to listen to this album in the evening while exploiting Focal Stellias great isolation from the outside world joined with TT2 transparency and instrument separation/placement.

Not my favorite Guy Buttery recording, but it is amazing in its own way. Resolving dac, amp and headphones are a must here to really get all the details that makes this album so unique. The selection of instruments is also quite different from other Guy Buttery albums. Definitively worth to listen and to own. Here is bandcamp link to those who would like to listen it / buy it:

Oh god, how much this track is loosing when listening straight from TT2 instead of Envy or Rockna+HEADA... I'm really amazed that the difference is so substantial. Nevertheless this is wonderful album full of brilliant music. One that you always want to return to.
