By A Thread (2009) by Gov't Mule - The ninth album from a band that started out as a side project from the Allman Brothers Band for Warren Haynes (Guitar & Vocals) and Allen Woody (Bass), adding Matt Abts on drums who played with Haynes in the Dickey Betts band. Sadly Woody passed away in 2000 and was replaced by various bassists over the years and along the way they also added Danny Louis on keyboards to flesh out the sound. There are some utterly stunning songs on this album, from the traditional Railroad Boy to the beautiful Forevermore and the raucous Broke Down On The Brazos (ft. Billy Gibbons), it has a little of everything and it's all rather good.

Beefed up the output on my desktop setup to see how big the Hifiman HE6se v2 can actually sound. The answer: very.

HE6se v2 < Singxer SA-1 < Mojo 2 < Roon < PC

Yaeji's With a Hammer is easily among my favorite albums of 2023, if not the past decade. Even after following her work closely across her early EPs, I was not expecting this album. Where her earlier releases had been firmly in a club/dance mode, this is pure, unadulterated, 2020's-era hyper-pop.
