For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

LCD-2C: Vegan Brown

After many years of being exposed to it, this is my first time getting into K-Pop. There's very few genres I can enjoy in the background while still remaining completely able to think and work. It's awesome that I have no idea what they're saying in K-Pop and I can scratch that pop itch without getting distracted.

Was just listening to a range of music today through my Zen Dac V1 > Zen Can (high gain) > HD600...man, reminded me what a lovely system that is. Have a range of more expensive gear, which I love - but this is equally as enjoyable for just letting the music flow. Enjoy the music all!

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (1973) by Black Sabbath - Something soothing before bed (NOT). I started tonight with the first Black sabbath album and have made it through to this, their fifth. This one sounds quite different to their earlier albums, lots more keyboards from Ozzy, Iommi and even Rick Wakeman (Sabra Cadabra) but it's still unmistakably Sabbath. My standouts are the title track, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, A National Acrobat and Killing Yourself To Live, three of the greatest tracks they ever laid down to tape. The Denons really add some low down grunt to this album, which in my opinion is an improvement, it adds to the drive of the guitar, drums and bass.

@u2u2 how are you finding this album? I have been considering it, but after quick "review" of all tracks on the web page I came a bit disappointed: there are so many other great tracks that should be included considering the title. IMHO other 2xHD albums are simply better for headphones.

Never heard NH40, could you tell us more about it please?
The album falls short of what the title suggests it is targeted for. Below average for a 2xHD Fusion release. Not to say it is technically poor, just not what I would expect. A much better album for a headphone specific target would be The Ultimate Headphone Demonstration Disc by Dr Chesky et al. I always enjoy returning to it and do so regularly. The MH40 are typical mid fi headphones with solid build quality, good materials, comfortable for long sessions, and good noise isolation. They never wow me but don't ever disappoint. Very light braided cables good for portability and oriented towards use with iPhones etc. They have been replaced by wireless models which is a good clue they are more after mass appeal than hard core head-fi types. Style oriented...

Quite liked the instrumental 'Fluff' too , somewhat similar to 'Laguna Sunrise' I guess. Nice little ghost stories (!) from the recording of the album at https://www.loudersound.com/features/black-sabbath-sabbath-bloody-sabbath

Qobuz > E70V > A90D > SJY Starry Night V1
The A90D makes even the ridiculously demanding Starry Night V1 sing without breaking a sweat. And Starry Night V1 are imo worth the effort as they have the usual planar strengths of good speed and control plus excellent Imaging and Soundstage, especially for a closed back. Not the best timbre and a bit of janky build, but overall i still like these quite a bit.

Having a relaxing evening, tired today and this hit perfect right now. Always a musical and nice album to play when I'm tired.
