[Epic: released March, 1975.] A true classic; electric guitar mastery by the most gifted and interesting of the Yardbirds guitarist alumni . The compositions are strong, too!

The Allman Brothers Band (1969) by The Allman Brothers Band - There's real magic at play here, the intertwining dual guitars, the dual drums, and so much brilliance it's blinding - this is not your normal debut album! I really like every track on here but Whipping Post is an absolute barnstormer. It's a terrible shame that Duane Allman was taken at such a young age, he was just getting started, who knows what he could have achieved. Stayed with the Schiits because they sound good but switched to my trusty Denons for the duel drum kits and Berry Oakley's bass, which needed a little boost to sound perfect. Next, on to Idlewild South
@u2u2 how are you finding this album? I have been considering it, but after quick "review" of all tracks on the web page I came a bit disappointed: there are so many other great tracks that should be included considering the title. IMHO other 2xHD albums are simply better for headphones.
Never heard NH40, could you tell us more about it please?
