Awesome! Got me inspired to explore Adrian Quesada's other music. No matter which setup I use and where I am, this album is worth listening at night.
Same happened with Anathema, although I prefer the prog rock albums of them to the ones of Opeth. My preferred album of Opeth is from the first era: "Still Life".JRiver MC 32 (PC) > SMSL SU9 > SMSL SH9 > Beyerdynamic DT1990 pro
Heritage (2011) by Opeth - This was the album they left all the death growling behind and went full on prog-rock and that is fine by me. I was listening to Ghost Reveries before this, an earlier album and the growling, harsh vocals are just about bearable (to me) while the parts that are sung normally sound great, he has a very good voice and the music itself is excellent, so the current version of Opeth was there all along, just waiting to get out. Personally I see Heritage as their "rebirth" album and it's a great platform on which they have continued to build with subsequent albums. I have the SMSL stack squirting the music into my DT1990's which sound superb with this music, solid bass, nice mids and detailed highs that never sound harsh (to me), it's a nice combo.
