i don't get why some describe the bass of the 109 as soft for me it fing hits and that just right

@csch92 apparently some are looking for artificial bass that would not be heard otherwise. On the other hand Meze cans are not tuned as clinically transparent, at least Advars and Empys are both painting sound, especially with right amps as like telling their own beautiful story, but definitively they are not lacking any real life bass, yet there is no artifical bass enhancement and god bless for that. Anyone who is listening to a lot of jazz or classical music can confirm that.

The Blues Don't Lie (2022) by Buddy Guy - I fancied a bit of blues tonight and Buddy Guy ticked all the boxes. There's no denying his guitar work but what I find astonishing is how well he can still sing at the grand old age of 86. He's helped out on vocals by a host of artists such as Mavis Staples, Elvis Costello and Jason Isbell, not that he needed any assistance. Still rocking the "sickie" setup (Schiit stack & D7200) even though I no longer need it, it just sounds so damned good I don't want to change it.
