Circus Money (2005) by Walter Becker - The second and last solo album by Steely Dan's other half. Not a bad album but not in the same league as those by Donald Fagen, not even with help from Dean Parks on guitar (on several tracks). I think my misgivings may be due to my indifference to reggae and he seems to wander into it a few times on the album. Moved on to Tragic Kingdom now anyway thanks to the above posts.

Well, often times I listen to WDVX radio from Knoxville, TN. They play an eclectic assortment of Americana. Since I'm listening via Roon, it's very easy to click into Qobuz seamlessly and explore. Really like this album.

Wow, I wish we had a radio station that wasn't just overplayed top-40s from the past, nonsense popular hip-hop/rap, or today's mainstream pop and rock that I find to be mostly (there are exceptions of course) bereft of talent or redeeming qualities. Despite being an awesome place to live for live music, radio in LA is terrible. 😞

Switched to the AKG K553 MKII's w/ vesper pads as a sendoff. I'm probably not going to wear these again unless it's a very special occasion, since it's broken. Listened to a variety of different stuff, mostly my favorite video game music.

Observe! Rest in peace, K553's. I'll probably buy another of you once my next pair of headphones wears out.

Sorry to steal your idea! 😉 Seriously though, it was worth the wait, IMO. I really dig this album.

After you've had a listen, let me/us know what you think of it. 👍😎
@JAnonymous5150 I've got CD yesterday and spend an evening with this album, brilliant add-on for morning coffee too :).

The second track "Shiner in the dark" is so far my favourite one. As for the complete album I have only 2 words: "too short!". So far this is my favourite rock/garage band sounding record of 2023!

I know: strange pairing but I wanted clarity with speed while not loosing this part of grunge sound of the record and I think I was able to achieved what I wanted.

I can definitely understand your sentiments regarding it being too short. By the end, I was definitely left wanting more. Yhis is definitely one of the standout albums of the year thus far for me, as well. BTW, thanks for supporting the musicians you enjoy by purchasing their work. 🤘😎
