Currently listening to the Hifiman HE-6 (six screw) driven by a Parasound JC5 with the Schiit Yggy+ OG pulling DAC duties. I wanted to listen to something with that raw power and slam that only the HE-6s can bring to the table.
On deck for music is Avenged Sevenfold's 2013 effort Hail to the King. Just a solid driving and dynamically exciting album. It fits my mood perfectly.

Definitely need the power to really make the HE6’s do their best. I brought my Liquid Platinum amp to my friends house and tried his HE6’s on that. The Platinum drives most headphones very well, the HE6’s were ok. Then we played them through his Ragnarock, wow what a difference! Love my N7, more than I thought I would. Often used it as source with line out and tube amp for headphones also.
N7 has some extra warmth, very natural sounding. Stage is very good.
And class A always for me

I'm not sure if grados can be bettered for saxophone & cornet. They have a joyous ring that makes me very happy
Top 10 greatest jazz album, no doubt.

Hell yeah you do! My Ferrum Oor/Hypsos stack can drive the HE-6s, but I have the parasound at one of my stations that I have hooked up to some speakers so I generally listen to the HE-6s from that station anyways. Plus, I felt like listening with the Yggy since I only got it back from being repaired like 1.5 months ago and haven't had a ton of time with it.
