I'm giving closed backs another chance with the DCA Aeon 2 Noire. Comfort really is top tier. Honestly the only thing that I don't really like about these is how it sounds when I talk but that's just a closed back issue...

The Very Best Of Gerry Rafferty (One More Dream) (1995) by Gerry Rafferty - The most buttery smooth voice of them all, some great songs too. The Vali 2 and D7200's add to the smoothness too, just right for some very late night listening (coming up on 5am here). The obvious standout track is the wonderful Baker Street, that dreamy voice together with that extremely memorable sax riff by Raphael Ravenscroft and the fantastic guitar solo by Hugh Burns make it an all time classic.

Astrix Deep Jungle Walk on my Koss SP540’s with the genuine Apple cable they made for the AirPod Pros. I cannot believe the power coming off these cans with just a lightning cable yet crisp and detailed with a solid soundstage for closed cans, why don’t I use them more .

Pulled out the ATH-m40x which I hadn't heard for a couple of months. Using an AQ Golden Gate cable. Brainwavs pads on them (old, flaking but still functional).

AOR rock from the early/mid 80s. He started out in Rainbow and left eventually. The track above would be a really great single (if it wasn't already?).

I think my friend got these in about 2015 or something. They're wood headphones from Symphonized and were about 60 bucks. For that price, they sound very good and the woody sound signature of the cups shows up pretty easily. Easy, laid back sound signature with some thumpy bass and a nice timbre. The sound separation is not good but they're nice to chill out to.

Listening to Spotify playlist called "70s Deep Cuts" which has a really impressive mix of tunes on it and 100 tracks.
