For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

Today it is V2 time with the Miles Davis Quintet. We are Steamin', Workin', Relaxin' and Cookin'. A day of multi-tasking.

  • Right at this moment, I'm attending a Zoom meeting at work, using an old Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 USB mic/headset. The vinyl is all worn off the ear pads and it creaks whenever I move, but it works fine still and doesn't need batteries.
  • When I'm not in meetings here, I use the JBL Tune 130 NC noise cancelling wireless ear buds. They were $50 at Best Buy before Christmas and they sound great!
  • At home in bed, I'm enjoying my new Sennheiser HD 58x "Jubilee" from Drop
  • At home when my teen girl is being loud and annoying (i.e. whenever she's home & conscious) I use my Bose QuietComfort 35. Laugh if you want, but I love the way it sounds: bass is always adequate, treble is never fatiguing.
  • I'm anxiously awaiting a new Meze 99 Noir from Drop; it'll probably arrive in early Feb. I wanted a modern set of closed back headphones to replace my old Sony MDR-V600. The 99 Noir are just like the 99 Classics, except they have black paint instead of gold plating, darker wood cups and they have a 6' cord w/mic instead of a 4' w/mic and 10' w/o mic

Foobar2000 ---> E70 ---> A90D ---> EST50
Lying back listening to bass heavy electronica etc, EST50 with this is a special experience.

A bold recommendation, if I do say so myself. Very popular in France for some reason... (Roon/Qobuz > BF264 > Jot2 > HD6xx)

How can Jada look subdued with Ted Nugent whispering lashing in her ears? 😕

Lookin' for Another Pure Love - one of my favorite songs for almost 50 years on my HE-6SE. Beck's playing is beyond sublime.

Love Remains
loveremains.jpg

Been playing these two for the last few hours and really enjoying just how different they are. The first one is from 2007, back when she had just started playing with Jeff Beck, it's instrumental and is mostly jazz rock oriented. For anyone who enjoys bass playing this one is a must. The second one, Love Remains, is from 2019 and is a full on vocals and all recording with Tal performing vocals, bass and guitars - she's a talented lady with a great voice!
I got here after playing the Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scott's album and was very impressed with her bass playing, so it was a nice surprise to find two solo albums on Amazon Music.

The 4/AAA Pro are getting a lot more head time than I anticipated. :L3000: The 3" thick foam pads definitely did wonders for them. 😊

Bass Canons!

Nice, I've been wanting to try the 240df or Sextett. They are built with the same passive radiators as the 340. You're in for a treat.
That's funny, I was going to post "The headphone I'm not listening to" last night. 🤜🤛. My new (old) RS-1 are shipping out to Grado for repairs on Friday.

Mine are the late production, so they have the same baffle structure as the k240 studio. Not the six big passive radiators. More about this later today when I can make a proper post.

Temple of the Dog <3
All Night Thing is a haunting, beautiful song. Catchy enough to get stuck in my head, sad and serious enough that it doesn't want to stay there.
