With the excellent stage dimensions and dynamic range of the Element DAC II+, I finally have a chain that does justice to Classical, making it engaging and exciting. It's not like sitting in a real hall, especially with tubes in the chain, but... a mini version of it. The whole thing got zapped down a few sizes with a Shrink-Ray. Or I'm spying on the scene through an interdimensional portal, and the size of the stage is limited by the wormhole I'm peering through.
On the DT 880 600 ohm.

Stanley Road (1995) by Paul Weller - I thought The Jam were ok but was never a fan of The Style Council, so it came as a big surprise how much respect I have for Paul Weller as an artist. He's mellowed with age and his music just seems to carry on and he's now regarded as some kind of Godfather in the UK music scene. This was the first album of his I bought and in some ways I think it is still his best ever work. This is the perfect kind of music for the RS-1x, well produced, not too heavy, plenty of space in the music and the Schiit mini stack just seems to add to the magic.

How can you not like The Style Council.

Because they weren't The Jam :stuck_out_tongue:
I'm not old enough to remember Dylan going electric, but I imagine it felt like I did when Weller went blue-eyed soul. Disappointing.

All redeemed by his excellent solo albums though, so all is forgiven.
