**** not to iterate the point (but I will, anyway ) … RS1x is a primary factor in this delivery of musical nirvana … …JRiver Media Center > SMSL SU9 > Schiit Vali 2 w/Mullard 6DJ8 > Grado RS-1x
Privateering (2012) b Mark Knopfler - I started playing and abandoned at least half a dozen albums from all sorts of genres as I just wasn't feeling it, then I got to this album and all was right with the world*** I love the mix of music, from soft folk to rock'n'roll, they are all unmistakeably Mark Knopfler, his style is just so unique. Only got time for a few songs and then I have to head for bed but there's always (hopefully) tomorrow.
I've slowly been working my way through Tegan and Sara's discography, and I've really been enjoying them! They're remarkably consistent without sounding too samey. I think this is a small step down from the last album I listened to, Heartthrob, but it's still very good.
Going back to my Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80s.
Despite the mastering being generally crap, and too sizzly, it plays nice with the DT770s.
Don't drums just sound so good on the 770's for some reason? All the little round metal things on sticks as well. WACK WACK SSSHH SSSHH... very good.
Whoops. Occurred to me to check what you're listening to... see if it even has a drum kit. It sorta does. Not analog ones but yeah. That counts.

Led Zeppelin II (1969) by Led Zeppelin - I count myself lucky to have been growing up in the late 60's and 70's, the music scene was just incredible. I was 12 when this album was released and it was the second album I ever bought (Deep Purple In Rock was the first) and I played it to death on my rickety, cheapo record player and loved every single minute. Listening to it through the RS-1x takes me right back there and puts a big, idiot grin on my face. The album itself is just phenomenal, there's not a weak track on there, just classic after classic - Good times indeed
Yes. Haven't seen him in quite a while and miss his masterful write-ups.What we need here is JAnonymous5150’s / ACDC’s exhortation: “For those of you about to rock…”
I remember back in 6th grade every Friday our teacher let us have a kind of little party break at the end of the day--lots of sunflower seeds (the big rage then for some reason) and sodas, but I was introduced to this album and it still brings back those days in '69/'70. Whole Lotta Love especially. Stupendous, amazing music, the quartet more than than the sum of its parts, although those parts' sums were very high in themselves. If you ever get the chance, Rick Beato did a video where he found the model of acoustic guitar that Page used for Ramble On. Pretty fascinating and he gets the sound dead to rights.JRiver Media Center > SMSL SU9 > Schiit Vali 2 w/Mullard 6DJ8 > Grado RS-1x
