Kamakiriad (1993) by Donald Fagen - I put the headphones on first and selected music that would sound really good through the RS-1x and this is perfect. Kamakiriad is more of a Steely Dan album than The Nightfly as his SD partner Walter Becker, plays most of the guitar and all of the bass parts on the album.

I just got my first IEMs (not counting generic ones I've had over the years that came with phones etc), Tanchjim Zero, so currently listening to those:
First impressions: A little bright, in some songs that's an advantage, in others less so - but otherwise pretty balanced. Much better soundstage and imaging than I was expecting from a cheap IEM, I actually reckon it beats even my CAL!s in that respect, and obviously the narrow HD25s, just not my K702s (if it beat those I'd be concerned).
I was expecting the bass to be a lot more rolled off than it is, but I'm actually enjoying them even with EDM when I was originally thinking they'd be more purely for vocal music, ASMR, etc. Though the bass quantity isn't quite as much as say my CAL!s, it's a lot flatter right down to the sub-bass so hip-hop sounds quite nice with it. I'm realising now that's what I was missing with my HD25 and CAL!s too that made them feel not bassy enough in spite of them being V and L-shaped respectively - I need that sub-bass since I like it when you feel the bass in your chest.
All in all these have no right to sound as good as they do for the price. These definitely beat my CAL!, maybe my HD25 too. K702 still easily beats them but it cost nearly 8x as much so it sure as hell should.
Just ran out and picked up a used set, locally: The ATH-R70X's. Super cheap and sounds pretty good. I am about an hour in. Pictured with the iFi, but I prefer them with the Violectric.

And they are sounding pretty good. HD6XX's and these are ridiculously cheap for the sound you get.
I just switched from rock to Miles Davis "At Plugged Nickel, Chicago (Live) 1976."
