For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

ZMF Aeolus > California Guitar Trio / Elegy

Just got back from their performance at the Towne Crier Cafe in Beacon, NY. Wonderful show and I had to get a little more in before bed time.

Dig out my Sennheiser HD58X, after warming up I was amazed at the value for money offered by it, definitely the best sound quality you can get for US$150, even don't feel outclassed by Hifiman HE500 and AKG k712, just a difference in favour

Grado RS-1x (G-cushions) << Linear Tube Audio MZ3 (Melz / RFT):

Miles Smiles, Miles Davis (Columbia, 1967).
Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band, (RCA, 1978).

** i cannot get over how great the RS-1x with G-cushions is. Their price is ‘pricing on the cake!’ **

Interesting. I felt that my HD58X's were outclassed by my HD6XX and HE500 (all driven by a Magni 3/Modi 3 schiit stack). To my ears, the HD58X fell apart and became very congested in complex orchestral sections (see Mozart's 41st Symphony, fourth movement) where instrument lines started to glob together. It was something that I couldn't unhear. The HD6XX and the HE500 did far better in keeping instrument lines more delineated in my experience. Then again, if the HD58X handles your music fine, keep on enjoying them.

Anyways, back to the topic at hand. Currently: Bifrost 2 > Crown D-75A > (passive pre) > HE-500

Thank you for your views, I am not much into classical music but will certainly try some tonight on the HD58X. I was listening to general pop music - a vocalist with a few guitar and drums, not overly complex stuff when I had the impression that the HD58X was okay comparing to the cans I mentioned. The biggest difference I can hear was how much the HD800S make the sound stage grew and the music came alive at many times the price of course.

Denon AH-D9200 - Pink Floyd - The Wall Rebuilt The Complete Version (2019) :L3000: (skipping the interview tracks)
There were two days listening to the long The Wall Rebuilt... And now, with the same 9200s, for the mexican people here (if any), I'm enjoying a lot listening to Maná - ¿Dónde jugarán los niños?
