Just picked up a pair of DT1990 pros. Currently running it with a Valhalla and modded Topping D50s.

The DT1990 came with stock pads as well as Dekoni Elite hybrids which are currently on the phones. I've read the Elite hybrids tame the highs a little while also increasing bass. So far really digging what I'm hearing. I bought these to use for rock and metal. I think they are going to do quite nicely.

The highs are right on the edge of being too bright for my tastes but so far are not managing to go over the edge. Will also try the two different sets of stock pads to compare but so far so good.

Wow, thanks for the tip on those releases!!! Huge SD/DF fan here. Just saw a really good SD tribute band a few days ago (Reelin' in the Years, fronted by Jerry Marotta).

Who are the band members on The Nightfly Live? When he toured that band a few years back, two of the members were from my area (Hudson Valley, NY). Lee Falco and Brandon Morrison. Lee's father owns a popular local club (The Falcon), and DF and crew debuted the tour material there. Of course, I found out the next day. :frowning2:

I have no idea who the players are, but knowing Donald Fagen's past tell me that they will be quite accomplished.
I just bought songs as duplicate/live versions, but why not? I think I got four new-to-me songs.

I love Steely Dan/Donald Fagan and now have a playlist consisting of 76 songs (6 hours and 22 minutes) of Steely Dan goodness! Very happy camper. :L3000:

Today's listening session features my Focal Clear MGs. Selections so far have been Steely Dan's "Countdown to Ecstasy" & "Pretzel Logic", followed by Cat Stevens' "Tea for the Tillerman" and Bobby Hutcherson's "The Kicker".
