FTFY! Jada style 🙄😉
Great album. 👍

I hope Jada gets royalties for the use of her likeness on all these posts...😉

Basking in the post-show glow after another great crowd last night (it's like 6AM here) and listening to some tunes while I wind down to catch some sleep before it's time to do it all again. I've got the CA Supermoons (CIEM version) running off my Cayin N8ii which is pulling DJ duty this morning. Everytime I come back to the Supermoons after listening to other stuff for a while, I immediately remember why I bought them. So we'll balanced, dynamic, cohesive, and technically superior. 😎

First up in this morning's queue is the extended edition of Cage the Elephant's 2008 self-titled album. This album is one of the first I think of from that first decade of the 00s when bluesy rock hit it big in that decade. "Ain't No Rest For The Wicked" was one of the most memorable tracks from that period for me, but the whole album is great and packed with some killer tracks. I love their vocalist's pipes as they're such a big and unique part of what makes this band immediately recognizable for me.

Switched it up to the ThieAudio Prestige LTD which are still running off the Cayin N8ii.

All queued up and ready to rock is last summer's (June 2023) release from Rival Sons entitled DARK FIGHTER. No, I didn't just spazz out on caps lock. That's how they spell it. I love me some Rival Sons. Whenever I listen to these guys I get the feeling that Lynyrd Skynyrd would've sounded something like this if they came about in the 21st century. Jay Buchanan is another awesome vocalist who can really belt it out and he sounds great live, too. Michael Miley is one of my favorite drummers from the classic rock revival scene. These guys know how to lay down some crunchy riffage and I find myself enjoying all of their work. This album goes for a bit of a slicker, higher production sound than some of their more stripped down work and I think they were pretty successful with it even as I also think I still prefer the more simplistic, under produced sound stylistically. "Bird In the Hand" and "Guillotine" are highlights on this album for me.

To those about to rock, I salute you! 🤘😎

The Circus And The Nightwhale (2024) by Steve Hackett - Another new release and this one is quite different to his more recent offerings, which have mostly been focussed on old Genesis material. This one is much more varied in it's compositions but still brings razor sharp musicianship. The rhythm section of Jonas Reingold (ex Flower Kings) on bass and Craig Blundell (Steven Wilson) provides great ground work for Hackett to play over, with him showing some really impressive guitar work. The D7200's let Reingold's bass lines really shine but at the same time they are extremely fast and no detail is missed considering the highs are quite relaxed.

There's plenty of it too, I've got 18 and there may well be more available on Bandcamp - It's all due to Antony Kalugin, a prolific and ridiculously talented Ukrainian composer/musician/producer.
Tons of it on Amazon Music too, so I expect it's on all the other streamers

When I entered in the forum I played that bandcamp music and I'm still listening to it, I'm truly amazed, is similar to Phideaux, which I love... even better :relaxed:

Did you say that Antony Kalugin has 18 studio albums? With your recs and those albums I have to make a deal with the devil to have enough time to enjoy music :relieved:

No, I have 18 Karfagen albums, Antony Kalugin is the brains behind the band, in that he writes everything, produces everything and plays a hell of a lot of it too.

You've been on a Ronnie Earl deep dive the last couple days. You inspired me to listen to a couple of his albums.

Thanks!
