Crazy World (1990) by Scorpions - On my third night of Scorpions as I missed last night altogether. This is the one with the superb Winds Of Change, I vividly remember the Berlin wall coming down so can only imagine what it meant to actual Germans. There's plenty of other good stuff on there but none come close to that classic. Still more than happy playing through the Schiit and Grados and after having a fight with the Grado headband and bending the crap out of it so that it actually fits my head and the pads lay absolutely flat on my ears, it's amazing just how comfortable they can be with just a little "adjustment".
Hard to believe this was released nearly 30 years ago. Sounds so good still. First heard on a copied cassette a friend had, possibly 3rd of 4th generation copy, so sounded like crap, but it didn't matter.
Definitely audition this one on headphone rather than speakers
Fun album, I enjoy artists like that who don't take themselves to seriously and throw in a few nonsense tracks just for fun and effect.
Your old 4th generation copy probably covered over some of the less than clear questionable lyrics in the introduction track, AUR Neon Pro off a Gryphon fed by an M11 Plus LTD doesn't
Great musician who played for a great cause (anti apartheid) saw him and his band at Somerville Theatre in 2016. Very fortunate to catch that show as he came down with pancreatic cancer shortly after and passed in 2019.
Focal Elex - Liquid Platinum - Pegasus
The Hemp is singing pretty with the Piety. I've come to love Grado on both the Piety and also the Vali 2++
Synergy is spot on with both AMPs across the full Grado lineup. If I had to pick one - I take the Vali 2++ with the Tesla 6CC42 pinched waist... but they are close.
