Ok sorry for the failed attempt at posting from my phone, this is my first post on head-fi, till now I just bought stuff from this site... Now I decided I want to be more active, since Reddit sometimes is not enough for me lmao. Today I'm rocking this setup with various Extrawelt albums (highly recommended) and electro playlists on Quobuz - from Deep House to Techno ambient to pre-Skrillex Dubstep -
Laptop > Oyade Class S USB > Musician Draco R-2R > Audio-gd Master 19 > cxnnected custom cable > Arya Organic
... And it's the "slim" version of the Master 9 LMAO. But it's truly amazing, I got it specifically for the HE6se. Paired with the Draco makes the HEs sound holographic and analogue, it's a match made in heaven I must say. But ye it's humongous eheh

Ok the sound is not colored at all, in fact it takes the character of the source that feeds it. In my case I use it only with the Draco, and as expected there is the analogue-like sound you would want from an R-2R ladder DAC... then you notice the soundstage. For now I can only talk about HEs "acquired" soundstage (the Aryas were always paired with the Mojo 2, today is the first day I tried it with the M19 cause the custom cable arrived): with this amp the HE - Notorious for not having great soundstage - acquire a very good ability at positioning the instruments in the space, and get that 3d-ness that is absent with other gears (namely the 789) About the presentation: With said transparency, both the analogue nature of the Draco and the timbre of the HEs make the overall presentation very non-digital, organic and natural. Like it very much. About the bass: HEs V2 bass is very different from let's say the Audeze wall of sound or dat planar bass, the SE series in particular in the bass region has less slam and impact, but the way it presents the bass for me is addicting: it's meaty, has the right amount of impact, great extension in the sub bass region and can be very articulate (not on the level of the LCDs though, but this contributes to them being very non-fatiguing). Mids are wet for real, wet and organic also. Plus, the Master 19 makes the HEs so holographic and tonally tasty (with the help of a slightly modified Oratory1990 preset) that I find myself struggling to put them off more often than not. The treble is airy and not harsh at all. LCDs even paired with this setup after a while become a bit fatiguing, while the HEs can stay all day on my head. I prefer them over the LCDs for this, even though the LCDs have their spot in my rotation. I'm still in the process of knowing the Arya and getting used to all of their SS, so for now the HE are still my most used headphones with this amp.

Sorry, I just noticed you have the HEs too... So now I understand why you're asking about the bass quantity. Yes, the M19 give them life in the bass region, while the 789 couldn't show their full potential. What are you pairing them with if I may ask? Do you like them with your gears? I see you got a lot of good stuff to drive them

What makes this song great? Her acoustic guitar and vocal intro gets me every time.
The original production was pristine and balanced and the 24/192 FLAC sounds nice and natural too. Of course, you could never really improve on the crackly dynamics of an LP on a turntable back in the day.
