This is so weird but new version of foobar sounds much better than old version and I got rid of soundstage problem.
Shouldnt foobar sound the same irrespective of versions...like bit perfect output?

I use ASIO output @ 1212m sound card.

Btw, I agree ...use the ASIO available with your card...ASIO4all sucks imho.

*Shrug*. My money says it's all in your head, but there are other possibilities. I can't tell any difference from 0.8 to 0.9 or ASIO to KS with one exception: ASIO + WMA = snap, crackle, pop on my system and KS + WMA does not. That was true with the WMA component in 0.8, and it's still true in 0.9. Of course, I'm not listening to many WMA files in foobar, but if I ever do then ASIO is not an option.

Better or not I cant say...but the sound is definately different..its not just in my head....me and my bro both can tell the difference....and I have also had few other rare people tell me the same on web.

Maybe its some driver issue or whatever...just sharing my opinion.

I'm having a problem with my aureon sky flashed to prodigy 7.1:

I get the following error msg when trying to use the ASIO plugin:

"Unrecoverable playback error: Could not query ASIO channel information"

Ofcourse i have the channels mapped correctly, ch0 to left, ch1 to right.
Also asio does work in all other apps i tried.

I'm running foobar 0.91 and the latest asio plugin (03.05.06)

Any ideas?
