Hi.
I'm trying to troubleshoot this error.
I use Zen DAC v2 with the latest drivers and firmware from iFi.

I followed a PDF guide on how to setup Foobar for DSD playback.

When I try to play a DSD512 file, I get: "Unrecoverable playback error: Sample rate of 22579200 Hz not supported by this device"
But as far as I know, The Zen DAC v2 should support DSD512.

In Windows11 I have the Zen DAC set to 24bit 384KHz.

I just gave it a go and it seems that each file I play, comes up as 44100Hz regardless if it's DSD64 or 128.

What I've done to try and make these files play is:

So I think what I've achieved is converting DSD512/1024 to DSD256 which is what the Zen DAC v2 supports.

But now when I play DSD files, my EqualizerAPO (using PEACE) doesn't work, nor does any Foobar EQ plugin for DSD files.

This brings me to think that what if I can convert the file to PCM without losing quality, while the song plays, thus allowing back the EQ functionality?

If you use ASIO, you bypass the Win audio stack hence all the APO's including EqualizerAPO.
Likewise DSD is not an editable audio format. So no EQ.
That is why they (Pyramix ) invented DXD also know as "wide".
You convert to DXD, do your edits and convert back to DSD.
BTW: DXD=24 bit / 352.8 kHz PCM

Thanks for the explanation.

The zen dac v2 supports DXD.
How can I do this conversion using Foobar?

Sorry for reviving this old thread, but I'm still encountering the issue I posted originally:

and I'm looking for a way to:

Help please :)
