Hi,

After formatting my PC I can't get Foobar (wasapi) to work. It won't play my music files. It won't even begin playback and the completion-bar doesn't move. However I can play the same files just fine by using another output than wasapi.

I have an Xi-Fi music soundcard /w SPDIF out connected to my DAC MAGIC and then further connected to my head amp.

Thanks for your help!

I installed the Creative drivers for my x-fi music soundcard. That's it. I'm not familiar with this waveRT driver? Please explain.

I've lowered it as a far as 200 ms and playback still won't start.

A ugly quick-fix is to use ASIO output and ASIO4ALL. With ASIO4ALL is enough to just pause the playback rather than turning foobar off, to let other applications play audio.

Besides choosing "wasapi (spdif out)" what is there to set up?
