That's a lovely setup you have in there! Also, thanks for giving our ZEN a chance and please enjoy the heck out of it :)
Thank you. The Zen does a very good job with this headphone. The added benefit is being able to run balanced end to end.

Speaking of tracks that the Celestee excels at...so much fun with xBass and 3D added!

Been eyeing these nonstop all week and devouring reviews. They look so sexy.

I'm keen for some thoughts of anyone that's heard a few different neutral-leaning closed backs that I'm considering... Focal Celestee, DC Aeon Noire on the higher end.. DT177X Go in the middle (well, less than half the price!). It seems to me they're all fairly neutral and close to the Harman target curve with some slight variations and nuances.

I want something to contrast/compliment my Fostex THX00PH bass cannons. Not something bright/lean, I still want it to extend all the way into lowest sub, and have enough quantity to enjoy listening to most types of music. But I mostly want them to be studio reference quality for producing and mixing, as well as be sealed monitoring headphones for recording voiceovers and podcasts.

I might say I've become an owner of Celestee by accident. Haven't had any high hopes about them but... Did anyone of you tried swapping out the stock cable for something else? I wonder is it worth to invest money into one ofr other reasons than just purely ergonomical ones. And yeah, I'm a cable believer, so just looking for a straight answer.

I picked up a hart audio cable for mine. The stock cable is just too stiff and annoying. I don't hear any differences but, ergonomically, I am much happier with the soft paracord cable. I don't understand why these high end headphone companies continue to ship terrible cables with nice headphones.

Yeah, exactly. Ergonomically this cable is a total failure and I so much rather those cables that were added to Elex - still far from great sounding or being soft and pliant, but at least they had looks and were nice to touch

While I have the Elear and Radiance rather than the Celestee, my experience with aftermarket cables has been very good. I would highly recommend a high-quality upgrade… Forza Audioworks, Moon Audio, Synergistic Research Foundation (though they are rather stiff- but sound great!), and my favorite, Norne Audio. Norne is the best in my experience, but it’s a one-person company with very slow production. Moon Audio is excellent as well and production is a bit quicker.

Matt from FAW also has his manufacturing much quicker than it used to be.
