Looking forward to hearing how this pairs with an r2r dac! The Gustard R26 and Holo Cyan 2 are at the top of my list of considerations for pairing. (also open to suggestions)

Picked the wrong week to go on vacation, must not have been on the email list either.

Patiently awaiting comparisons to Mentor

EDIT: They restocked the Warehouse, snagged one

Please note that tracking may not be active for up to a week due to the current situation in Ukraine. So the cargo is delivered to a hub in Poland, which takes about a week. After that, everything goes according to plan.
Hopefully it won't come in when I'm out of town for 4 days in two weeks, I'm actually rooting for them to come in early or better late lol

My Mentor took just about exactly 2 weeks. Living on US East or the EU it should come faster

Maybe I'm dreaming or UPS broke my tracking but mine is supposed to arrive today. Label created 7/3/24 🤔🤣

Im still really torn should i switch my mentor stack order on to this instead. I got 20+ headphones and need all arounder. Like the reference amp.
I'm really torn, I don't want to miss out and I'm afraid the mentor stack might be more to my liking. The m-fields are on their way to me. I am tempted to order the Mentor stack as well. There's no winning in this game when severe FOMO is involved :/

M-Field probably will be unique.

Mentor makes me worry whether to go for Holo Bliss or Mentor, or even Volot.

While M-Field I don't have to worry about a competing Mosfet amp, unless it is someones well made Beta22 diy amp being passed around.

Mentor would be your morning coffee and M-Field a night cap :L3000:
I mostly listen to electronic music. I was chatting back and forth with FluxLabs and decided to go with the more forward and fuller presence of the M-Field. They said that between the two amps most people seem to prefer engagement of the M-Field. I would love to hear the Mentor in person due to the more holographic sound but it's not an option unless I buy another stack. I haven't heard anything from them before and I'll be using Tungstens but they are still 5 months away...

Honestly though I have tried many amps in the sub $1k range and I couldn't tell a massive difference unless they couldn't properly drive the headphones. Why did I buy two M-Fields? Severe FOMO :beerchug:

Either Flux stack is quite a massive improvement against any sub- $1k amp. You WOULD tell the difference. My single Mentor clears the V222 and Schiit MJ3 noticeabley.
Mentor is flat, Mfield is engaging. Fitting an amp to 20 headphones is impossible, best so to consider if engaging and fun is your top priority or not.
I myself ordered to compare a single Mentor against single Mfield, it's a tough choice.

Considering my goal with music is to have a private rave inside my head when there are none to go to, I probably made the right choice lol. Now the question is which DAC to pair with. Do I keep the SMSL VMV D1 (v1) or do I look into a Yiggy or something? I'm already this far into the hole, might as well keep digging.

Dont say that! It must be possible to get one reference amp :D. I got cayin ha6a on its way aswell. My current amps are Ifi diablo and Vioelectric 222 and i dont think neither of those is doing justice to my Focal clear mgs, Hifiman-1000 stealths or Hekse. Plenty of below 1k headphones aswell. Im about to get above 2k headphones when i got amp to support em properly.
