A question if you please. One of the benefits of Mentor was it could properly run Susvaras and Tungstens. Is the M-Field billed as the same?
For Susvara I suspect that the M-Field will have enough power to drive them at ear-damaging levels before clipping. Weather they sound "good" is going to be up to the listener.

For Tungsten (SS & DS), we would need to better understand the voltages provided. Here, too, I suspect M-Field will be sufficient, but again, this remains to be seen as I've not personally read any impressions of the combo yet.

I ordered a DS Tungsten back in December so I hope to be getting my pair soon. I also have an M-Field stack on order, and I'll be sure to share my impression when I get them, eventually.

There is also the ability of going dual mono.

I wonder how the output is stacked.

Probably unnecessary, but boy will people that like to EQ will be having a fun time.

Having Mentor I feel it's a wonderful thing to have an upgrade path. Totally unnecessary but another ~25% soundstage, increased dynamics, and virtually UNLIMITED power-on-tap has to be great (from 11.3w to 33.5w on Mentor). Same situation as Mentor for M-Field I suspect.

Western Bid is the localised payment platform they use for e-commerce. I only got a PayPal payment confirmation and emailed Flux's customer service to enquire. They told me that the order was received.

Recent info about my order...from Flux..

One more thanks for choosing our M-Field amplifier!

We know you are eager to receive your order, so we wanted to provide you with the tracking number...XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Please note that tracking may not be active for up to a week due to the current situation in Ukraine. So the cargo is delivered to a hub in Poland, which takes about a week. After that, everything goes according to plan.

It should also be noted that the unit needs to warm up for 100 hours, mainly to burn in the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. After this, the sound of the amp will be as intended. Of course, our recommendation does not alter the fact that the amp is ready to listen to straight out of the box.

We appreciate your business and your continued support. We hope you enjoy your new amplifier!
Sincerely, Flux Lab Team

Best Regards

Oh apparently since I was in communication about it via email already. I had to check my email; was able to order it.

Let's hope us oldies with Mosfet nostalgia, this lives up to our memories of Sony VFET and Sanyo Mosfet gear.
The MOSFET made me do it
Exactly how I interpreted it.

I imagine it needs more Delta-sigma stuff. Or Bricasti, Callia/Minerva/Dangerous Convert 2 DACs.

Otherwise, it could go for someone that likes to double-down rather than compensate.

I'll be using my akm Gustard A22 dac. Or Dangerous Convert 2 dac.
Double down with a good ol classic Burr Brown

Got the same email. I'm hyped! Too bad my Tungsten is still no where to be seen 😢.

I'm curious if a stack is able to be wired for both dual mono and single amp use simultaneously?

I'd like to run the amp in dual mono mode but still be able to switch to single amps mode and drive 2x headphones simultaneously with the flick of a switch. This could make it an A/B testing station for headphones (or even sources?) depending on how it's configured...

What's the best and the easiest way to burn in 100 hours?

Leave it on and playing a shuffle of your entire music list? Even over night.
No need to have it loud and distracting the whole house.

Listen to music for 100 hours. I find that hearing the transformation (be it gear or brain burn-in) can be enjoyable.

Otherwise you can find some white, brown and pink noise tracks to run your amp for a week and get the same results.

Burn in for the Mentor is just about 20 hrs. You may not need 100hrs burn in.
