I was wondering if anyone else have tried DeVille speakers in this forum?

I got a pair a month ago and I couldn’t be happier, but happiness is only true when shared, so I wanted to start this thread and see if there is anyone else here?

I am no speaker expert, I have tried TOTL B&Ws, Focals and some niche Italian brands, but these are the only speakers that sounded better than my Abyss 1266 TCs.

Anyways, here is my current living room setup with Bottlehead Kaiju 300B, BeePre2 300B and Topping D90 for easy connectivity to everyones iPhones and Apple TVs.

Congratulations. Very nice speakers that I would like to audition one day as well. Did you get the SQ version? Do you have any problems with bass modes? The left speaker seems to be in the corner. How do you like them so far?

I did the the basic version as I was buying them blind and didn’t really know the difference. But now if I could I would get an SQ, I had a chance to listen to them in the OMA studio in Brooklyn after I bought them.

Its still the same speaker but its just a bit more solid sounding.

When it comes to their placement I was hesitant to place them in the corner for a while, but because they are down ported it works well!

I am no speaker expert, as I been mostly dealing with headphones but this did surprise me.

Great. When you have a nice bass extension and don’t have muddy or growling bass then you are fine. Enjoy.

I am actually looking at these myself. I heard the aic 10 works with tbem but I have my doubts.

AIC 10 works fine with them, but you really get the most of them if you use a good 300B amp!

Yes! I personally don’t like the match and use my Set 2 setup with Bottlehead Kaiju 300B amps

It was just thinner and not full bodied like 300B, I think that tube matches so well with DeVille’s character. But thats just my personal preference!

Cool good to know. Very interesting considering that stefan from amsterdan headphone auditions loves the aic with deville. Tastes always differ!

I bought them in Europe through the dealer, and paid full price + VAT.
