I am looking for a replacement for the FLC8N that I lost.
Should I just get another FLC8N or are there better options now?

My gripes with FLC8N were the comfort and the isolation.

I am considering Etymotic ER4XR but I never tried Etymotics so I have no idea how they fare in terms of isolation and comfort and also sound VS FLC8N. I remember non-detachable cable used to be a problem with Ety but I guess that's a thing of the past?

I listen to all kinds of music except EDM, pop (Taylor Swift) or doom/death metal.

Maybe u can read about the LZ A7.

This set has 10 tunable sound signatures, so it is very versatile. Very good technicalities and everyone should find some signature to like about it. Good fit and isolation too. Just a bit ugly looking.

IMR acoustic produces IEM with tunable options (nozzle and filters), too.
I'm playing with it and it remembers me when I had my FLC8.
From memory, IMR (Splash of gold for me) are more confortable than FLC8.
