I've decided to revisit this thread with something I discovered recently

Ry Cooder & VM Bhatt - A Meeting By The River

This won an Emmy back in the 90s and rightly so. Wonderfully intimate recording of some incredible improvised music. Instant Desert Island disc for me.

I'm gonna leave my fanboy choices out (Massive Attack, Flying Lotus, Gorillaz, etc)

Reroute to Remain :: In Flames

Black Sands :: Bonobo

Let it Die :: Feist

any RJD2 album IMO.

Off the top of my head, based on what I've been listening to lately.

Appeal to Reason - Rise Against
Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace - Foo Fighters

I'm just saying these because I love all the songs on the album, and if there isn't one I'm not completely thrilled with, I probably haven't given it a proper listening to.

Hmm, while there are a couple for me, my main one is The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails.

Yes, that even includes "Big Man With A Gun". Sure, it might be disappointing if you just listen to it by itself, but it fits in perfectly when listening to it when playing the entire album.
