FitEar Parterre (パルテール) Thread

Does anyone know what the impedance of the Parterre is?  Are  they considered low or high impedance iems?  Thanks!

I've never seen a value about that, but they're still pretty low IMO(or at least with a big variation accross frequencies) as adding resistors does change the signature pretty significantly. and I personnaly didn't like the change.
but the sensitivity is much lower than the 334 (Parterre would be normal for an IEM, and 334 super sensitive).

Yah. The sensitivity of Parterre is good for using portable source with higher power like HM901 or X5

Tg334 and their ciem are way too sensitive in comparison...

Where can one buy resisitors btw?

I've been doing a lot of tip rolling with mine.  Has anyone had the titanium nozzle loosen from the body?  They look very secure, but thought I would ask.  Thanks.

I've found Etynomic type resistors on Ebay, from Hong Kong.

I use a few of those http://www.ebay.fr/itm/ETYMOTIC-ER4P-TO-ER4S-RESISTOR-ADAPTOR-3-5MM-PLUG-/290372905689?pt=US_MP3_Player_Cables_Adapters&hash=item439b92ead9
you can ask for whatever value you like (I asked for 3ohm, 5, 30 and 100).

as a warning, the 334 is ok with those, but the parterre didn't sound any good with more impedance added to the source. I think we talked about that some pages back and all agreed that the parterre was best served as is.

Thanks, guys. I have a dumb question, will i get my vol room if i use a high impedance adapter for my c435 as they are too sensitive...?

yes but you will probably ruin the c435's signature long before benefiting from the volume getting lower.
in your shoes I would just accept the fact that some sources can't be used with this IEM and would look for an amp with digital volume control.

I've been very impressed with the low floor noise of the Pure II.  I'd make it a strong consideration for sensitive iem's.

Thanks for the advice.

I've gotten good fit and sound with large tips/shallow insertion and medium tips/deeper insertion.  Parterre's look like they are maybe built for deeper insertion than I've been using.   Just wondering what insertion depth other owners use?

I use medium sized ortofon tips with deeper insertion to obtain good isolation and SQ. I would pull my ears out to ensure inserting correctly.

Just got my Parterre recently - tried all of the stock FitEar tips and none of them gives me good fit and sound.
I am currently using the smallest Comply T200 tips, and it gives me really good fit.

Hello

Here's an impedance adaptor you should try
wink_face.gif

I use it with my Cavalli LAu for sensitive IEMs such a FitEars. Lowers level by 14db if I remember correctly...................

Thanks! I was meaning to buy this from Fujiya last year but they did not have Wagnus S in stock. So...
