Hi,

I've been waiting for the PSB m4u line to go on sale. I checked Amazon today and was surprised to see (used) m4u 1 and 2s as well as NAD Viso HP-50s all around $180. Are these the best I can get in this range, (and if so, which sounds the best of the three)? From what I've read, the Visos sound the best, but they look funny to me. I wouldn't use the active noise canceling, but the m4u 2s seem like they're in better shape (no cosmetic defects).

Thanks

There are many great headphones for around $200 and no clear cut best one.  Do you have any idea on the sound signature you're looking for (e.g., neutral, or bass oriented with boosted treble for "excitement," or subdued treble to avoid fatigue)?  Do you prefer open or closed back headphones?

Also for what it's worth, my current headphones cost me $175.  Next year I'm looking at getting my first expensive headphones: the Stax SR-007.
