Six tabs, sitting at about 108,000kb. Firefox is surprisingly stable for me.

What plugins are you using?
Actually it must be your own special problem as the developers would never release an update leading to extrem mem-hunger!

Well if nothing helps do this:

START->RUN: "%appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\"

then rename the only folder that you should find there:

Profiles to Profiles_0

Which should make your old profile invisible and after next start, firefox should create a new profile.

Now, a folder named 'Profiles' next to Profiles_0 will appear there.

Erase this new folder ("Profiles") and then rename your old profile folder "Profile_0"->"Profile"

That will RESTORE your OLD profile...

That way you can find out if the problem lies in your profile or plugins or if there's really something abnormal with new Firefox's version...

wow I just looked at mine and is says 321,036 K

last time i used to look at it, it would be around 45 K

But i am experiencing no problems at all, seems to be stable and fast for me.

btw i have 2 gigs of ram, right now 57% is being used. only running firefox w/ 4 tabs(one of them has my dinner on it

), is this normal? also NO plug-ins at all.

A Firefox user once. Then I converted to Opera and never turned back.
