Firefox 3 Download Day 2008
Jun 17, 2008 at 8:15 PM Post #48 of 96
I just opened up 10 tabs and it's only running 70k for me.

EDIT: Yeah, even while each tab loading a link, mine still doesn't get above 100k.

Just downloaded it from the site and everything seems to be working fine.

Another nail in the coffin for IE

I've done my part. Downloaded Firefox 3 for my work computer (MS Windows XP)

I've downloaded my favorite tete build as I don't use the generic build. One of my fav plugins doesn't work.

I'll have to mess with it more. I've enabled color management which is a good thing to have.

Yeah, it's really fast on vista, not to mention IE7 on vista is just unexplainably slow. I like the default skin for it, but I haven't used it in a month or two, so I'm not sure if it's brand new. I only wish I could set it so that MSN Live Messenger links would open up through it, other than that, I guess I can't complain.

It works well, BUT I can't seem to install the Flash player plugin!

Hopefully, somebody explains how to get it installed or Adobe updates their installer program so it works with Firefox 3.0.

Not much difference over the Rc3. Been using this browser for months now and I really like it.

I'd never consider to go back to IE7 or 8. As pez said it's just sad that you can't open msn links into firefox.

Ahh, I like it so far. Still hogging some memory, but hopefully it doesn't leak and degrade the longer it stays open. IE7 truly is an abortion compared to FF.

Already crashed after 5min of use when I tried to import some bookmarks.

Looks and feels great, and it's pretty fast, but too bad it doesn't have keychain integration for Mac. Also lacks some small things that I find essential in Camino. The smooth scrolling also doesn't reach Safari level yet.
