two things:

1) today is download day, but final release is still not available.

2) i downloaded Release Candidate 3, and it was such a gigantic memory hog i had to delete it immediately. 300,000 on startup? sheesh.


update: just read an article that the download is scheduled to start at 10:00am PDT. so that's about 40 minutes away from.... now!

I tried FF3 beta, but ran into a few bugs and off the HD it went. I hope the official release is all polished and ready for prime time.

you can get it from mozilla's ftp servers here: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/3.0/

the HTTP servers apparently are mostly down.. but I got it from ftp pretty quickly.
